Apex Critical Metals Uncovers Significant Mineralization in Latest Drill Campaign
31.12.2025 - 10:12:05Canadian explorer Apex Critical Metals has concluded its 2025 drilling program at the Cap Critical Minerals Project in British Columbia, releasing assay results that point to substantial mineralization across unusually wide intervals. The findings, particularly for niobium, have prompted analysts to reassess the potential scale of the deposit.
Alongside the drilling data, the company completed a geophysical survey which identified a large, previously untested magnetic anomaly. Apex's geological team interprets this structure as a potential intrusive body that may be connected to the mineralization intersected in drill hole CAP25-006. The company has already confirmed that its 2026 exploration campaign will prioritize testing this new target, suggesting the current findings might only represent the edge of a much larger system. The 2025 program, comprising nine holes for 2,323 meters, has effectively served to define the project's structural framework.
Exceptional Niobium Intervals Highlight Results
The standout result comes from drill hole CAP25-006, which cut 124.5 meters averaging 0.27% niobium pentoxide (Nb2O5). Within this broad zone, a higher-grade section of 36 meters returned 0.59% Nb2O5, including an ultra-high-grade core of 10 meters at 1.08% Nb2O5. These intervals significantly exceed prior expectations and indicate a mineralized system with greater scale than initially modeled. Niobium is a critical metal for high-strength steel alloys and emerging battery applications, with global demand on a steady upward trajectory.

Phosphate and Rare Earths Add Strategic Value
The economic potential of the project is further enhanced by the presence of additional critical minerals. Drill hole CAP25-007 intersected 3.8 meters containing up to 16.2% phosphate oxide (P2O5). Furthermore, total rare earth oxide (TREO) grades between 1.08% and 1.33% were recorded over widths of 3.0 to 3.4 meters in holes CAP25-005 and CAP25-006. Niobium, phosphate, and rare earth elements are all listed as critical minerals by governments worldwide, underscoring their strategic importance and the drive to secure stable supply chains.
Forward Strategy: Systematic Follow-Up Drilling
With the 2025 operational phase now complete, Apex has outlined a clear strategy for 2026. The focus will be a systematic follow-up drilling campaign around the successful CAP25-006 intercept, coupled with targeted testing of the newly identified magnetic anomaly. Investors can anticipate a steady flow of news regarding new drill targets and assay results once the next phase of exploration commences.
