Decline in sales and earnings during the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period of the previous year – adjustment of financial guidance – company explores strategic options for a re-positioning on the market

According to a preliminary analysis, sales and earnings of DATA MODUL AG declined in the third quarter of fiscal year 2025, compared to the results achieved in the same period of the previous year. The reasons for this essentially remain the continuously strained overall market situation as well as significant one-off expenses related to the development of the USD exchange rate, personnel expenses and market entry costs.

The group EBIT in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2025 amounted to EUR -2.1 million, marking a reduction of approx. -200% in comparison to the same period of the previous year (EUR 2.1 million). Group sales declined by approx. 9.7% to EUR 52.1 million in the third quarter of 2025 in comparison to EUR 57.7 million in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2024. Orders received increased by approx. 4.7% to EUR 51.4 million in comparison to EUR 49.1 million for the same period of the previous year.

The Company will publish definitive results for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2025 on November 7, 2025.

Due to the numbers achieved in 2025 to date the company adjusts its guidance on key performance indicators for the entire fiscal year of 2025 as follows: instead of the hitherto projected key performance objectives, as compared to the fiscal year 2024, of -10% to 10% for orders received, of -20% to 0% for sales, and of -80% to -40% for EBIT, the company now projects key performance indicators of -5% to 5% for orders received, -8% to 0% for sales, and -155% to -140% for EBIT, all as compared to the fiscal year 2024.

The company has commissioned J.P. Morgan Securities plc to explore strategic options for a re-positioning of the company on the market, which may include the sale of the majority stake in the company by the majority shareholder.
